This Roman hairpin made of polished bone is based on a 1st century find, now in the British Museum in London. It shows a finely crafted female bust with individual facial features - presumably a depiction of the original wearer or an idealized figure.

The figure wears a characteristic hair diadem, which exhibits typical features of the Flavian era and allows for a temporal classification in the late 1st century. Fine details such as suggested fabric folds give the depiction additional depth and expression.

Each hairpin is handcrafted and carefully finished, creating a unique piece with historical character and individual appeal.

Slight deviations are due to material and handmade craftsmanship and emphasize the uniqueness of each piece.

Ideal for:

  • Reenactment & historical representation
  • Collectors of ancient replicas
  • Lovers of Roman culture
  • Exceptional gifts
