This Roman hairpin made of polished bone is based on a find from the Imperial period from Augst (Switzerland) and was widespread from the 1st to the 4th century.

The characteristic twisted or tapered end creates a lively light and shadow effect due to its sculptural form and gives the otherwise simple needle an elegant structure.

Such hairpins were part of the everyday jewelry of Roman women and combine functionality with timeless aesthetics.

Each pin is handcrafted and carefully finished, creating an individual piece with historical character.

Slight variations are due to the material and handmade nature and emphasize the uniqueness of each piece.

Ideal for

  • Reenactment and historical representation
  • Everyday life with historical flair
  • Minimalist, ancient jewelry
