Viking hairpin/robe pin made of bone after a find from the Shetland Islands

This hairpin or garment pin was made after a find from the Shetland Islands. Like the original, it was carved from bone. It is decorated with a stylized dragon's head and is approximately 14.5 cm long. The bone has been polished to a high shine.
